Is Lottie Max really free?

Yes. The studio is free to use forever — supported by ads and optional tips. No paywalls, no trial limits, no watermark on your exports.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Open the studio in your browser and start designing. There is no sign-up, no login, and nothing to install.

Is my artwork uploaded to your servers?

No. The studio runs entirely client-side. Your projects, imports, and exports never leave your device — there is no backend that stores your work.

What design tools can I import from?

Anything that produces SVG: Figma, Illustrator, Sketch, Inkscape, Affinity Designer, Penpot, and more. Paste the SVG markup with Cmd/Ctrl+V or drag a .svg file onto the canvas.

What formats can I export?

Lottie .json for maximum compatibility, .lottie (dotLottie) for ~3× smaller production files, or a ready-to-paste HTML embed snippet using the lottie-player web component.

Where can I use the exported Lottie?

Anywhere that supports Lottie — web (React, Next.js, Vue, plain HTML), no-code (Webflow, WordPress), or mobile (React Native, Flutter). We have a guide for every common stack.
