No paywall. No upgrade nag. Promise.

How is this free?

Three things keep the lights on

Transparency is the deal: here's exactly how a free studio with no paywalls makes sense.

01

Ads on the marketing site

Pages like this one carry ads. They’re what fund the studio, the bandwidth, and the people building it.

02

The editor stays ad-free

When you’re actually making something, no ads. Not in the canvas, not in the timeline, not in any tool panel. We don’t interrupt your work.

03

Tips, when it helps

If Lottie Max saved you time, you’re welcome to leave a tip. Optional, never required, never gated behind a feature.

FAQ

Common questions about the price

Still wondering? Email hello@lottiemax.com.

Is this really free, or is it a free trial?

Really free. No trial timer, no usage cap, no credit card. Open the studio and start working — there’s nothing to upgrade to.

Can I use what I make commercially?

Yes. Animations you create are yours. Use them in client work, products, marketing, anywhere — no licensing fuss.

Are there any limits I should know about?

No project caps, no export caps, no file-size limits beyond what your browser can handle. Your projects live in your browser’s local storage; the backup & restore feature lets you move them between devices.

Will the free version get worse over time to push paid features?

No. The studio is the product. We’re not building a stripped-down version of something else — this is the whole thing.
